Dog Training with a Personal Touch

Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Trainer with 15 years experience getting to “Good Dog”

Is your dog aggressive, fearful, stubborn, destructive or just hard to control? If so, you’ve come to the right place. I’m Steph Du Preez, owner of Ohh, Sit! and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. I have over 15 years of experience helping dogs change behavior, and teaching dogs owners the steps they can take to solve their challenges. I’ve worked with all sorts of dogs: large and small, young or old, energetic or gentle. From my experience at rescues and shelters, I’m well accustomed to training dogs with past traumas or conditioning that can affect behavior.

I specialize in curbing aggression, fear issues, separation anxiety, leash reactivity and food guarding. I can also help with basic training, house breaking and socialization. I am a strong advocate of positive reinforcement in training, and have found that it is not only the humane thing to do, but the best way for a dog to learn.

My personalized approach involves understanding the unique history and nature of your dog, then customizing a solution on my experience, proven scientific techniques and even a little creativity when needed.

Take a look at my service, background and client comments. Then let’s give your furry friend the personal attention he or she deserves.

“When we rescued Bear, we knew that he would come with some baggage but when his behaviors got worse, Steph came out to see us urgently on a holiday to help us. She guided us through our next steps and gave us invaluable insight into the body language cues from Bear that we weren’t picking up on throughout our rescue journey, Steph has been there for all the ups and downs, always available to answer our questions, and continuing to guide us in the right direction. We know she is just as invested in Bear’s success as we are. We would not have gotten him onto the right path as early as we did if not for her help and training!”
